Elizabeth Wentling is a New York based artist. She received an MFA from Parsons School of Design, The New School University, an MPS in digital photography from the School of Visual Arts, and a BS in Psychology from Kutztown University. Wentling’s work questions the authority of the power structures that continue to embed inequality into all aspects of life and culture in the United States. Through strategic alteration of appropriated materials, Wentling creates a space to reimagine, among other things, education, advertising and the financial system. Her work has been exhibited both in New York City and internationally, including most recently at the Susquehanna Art Museum in Harrisburg, Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, the Institute for Art and Art Theory, University of Cologne, Germany and the Center for the Book at the University of Iowa.
